Saturday, February 4, 2012	12:00 pm	King Soopers 6922 10th St Greeley, CO 80634 Community Room	Voting Issues. Mr. Steve Moreno, Weld County Clerk & Recorder; Carol Burkhart, Greeley-Weld League of Women Voters; and Carol Tone, Denver League of Women Voters will discuss voting issues. We will have a light lunch followed by conversations with our guests. Some of the issues are: Required voter I.Ds, basic requirements for voting, voting statistics (who votes, population percentages), effectiveness of mail-in ballots, and any issues that are peculiar to Weld County. Public is invited.
Thursday, February 9, 2012	7:00-8:30 pm	First Christian Church 2230 13th St. Greeley, CO 80631	Fracking: What's all the fuss about?. The League of Women Voters of Colorado is studying the issue of Hydrofracturing for Oil, Gas and Methane and it's impact on our community and state of Colorado. We will hear about procedures for drilling rights, owners rights, extracting natural gas in Colorado, environmental impact, taxes and economic benefits and detriments. Open to the public.
